Hi Glen,

Although the link does not work for dates beyond the 19th, it will work for the 16-19 April. I suggest that all attendees make their reservation for those days and then email me their reservation along with their desired check out date. I will ask the hotel to extend their reservations.

I will also notify the hotel that the group rate was not working, and ask them to extend our cut-off date by a day or 2. Finally, I will ask the hotel for alternative properties in case they are sold out.

The link below still doesn’t work. I tried to make a reservation just now for April 16 – April 21^st and got a message “Group Rate Not Available For Requested Dates”

With cutoff date so near and with people unable to make reservations, I consider getting WG quorum for the meeting is in jeopardy.

So is seminar’s success is on the line if attendees cannot get rooms in the hotel.

Also, in addition to fixing the date range for our group code, I’d like to post several alternative hotels that are in close proximity. Where can I find that list?

All,

Several people reported that the hotel web interface does not allow booking rooms under the group code IEEIEE after the April 20^th.

We are working with the hotel to fix the check-out date. Until this is fixed, you have two options:

1) Make two separate reservations – one ending on April 20^th and another one ending on your actual departure date.
2) Make one reservation without the group code. I believe the price without the group code is the same.

If you use the second option, please let me know, so that IEEE staff can update the room occupancy and not pay penalties to the hotel.
I’ll post an update when the hotel fixes the problem. But please, do not delay booking your rooms.
