Re: [IEEE1904.1] エðクエ: Re: [IEEE1904.1] My condolences and best wishes to our Japanese coworkers
Dear all,
Thank you for your words of condolences.
I am fine. Thank you.
Many of the SIEPON attendees from Japan are living in Kanto area,
some 200km far from Tohoku area struck by the devastating earthquake,
and Kansai area, much far from Tohoku area.
So I believe they should have missed the direct disaster of the earthquake
although the home towns of some of whom may be Tohoku area...
I hope to receive any messages from them.
Having said that, we had a big earthquake even in Kanto area and
in my house most of platewares were destroyed.
We are still suffering from a lot of aftershocks now. The authorities annouced
they expect another M7 class aftershock within 3 days with a 70% likelihood.
And the things are tangled in knots due to the announced electric outage plan.
Today, 3/14 on Monday, I came to the office in the morning but I was told to
go back home at 11 am because the region where my office is located will lose power.
I think many colleagues in Japan take a day off today because many trains are
not running.
Hope to see you in Kobe which is far from Tohoku and undamaged from the earthquake
if Japan itself is recovered from this havoc.
Best regards,
Motoyuki Takizawa
