Thanks for your condolences and I would like to express my condolences
to devastated people.
I would like to report the state of affairs in West Japan area. I work
in Osaka where is about 700 Km far away from Tohoku area devastated by
the tremendous earthquake and tsunami. I felt long weak shock by the
earthquake, but no visible damage has been seen in West Japan area. I
confirmed that the Kobe Portopia Hotel also has not had damage and runs
as usual.
In terms of infrastructure in West Japan, The transportation system is
running as usual, and the electrical power and water have been provided
without any regulation.
So, I think that we can hold the April meeting in Kobe. At this time my
concern is just the reservation of international flight, if the Narita
Airport in Tokyo area restricts the number of flight.
